ABSTRACT

The wedding dress is the finest product made in the garment industry, because ofthe high prices of raw materials used, from fabrics to accessories, as well as the accuracy required in the sewing and finishing. In addition, the dress often features decoration such as embroidery or handdrawing. All these factors makes the wedding dress an expensive commodity in which thousands of naira are spent on it during purchase, although it is only used for few hours. Thus, using inexpensive innovative raw materials to design wedding dresses and exploit the potential ofsuch materials in the production ofthese dresses, without compromising(on the high aesthetic value is an important target (Seda and Ziimrut, 2018).
