ABSTRACT
Behavioral and physiological changes in estrus were studied over a period of three cycles ( 64 days) in a completely randomized design experiment. A total of 16 gilts were examined with each gilt serving as a replicate Parameters measured were observable changes associated with the oestrus cycle such as vocalization and restlessness. Others were changes in vulval length and width, so also were swelling and color changes of the vulva. Results show that there was significant differences (p> 0.05) on most parameters measured, however there was no significant effect vulval length and width (p>O.OS).
