ABSTRACT

This work is geared towards examining the measured quality charateristics of Nigerian Breweries Star product, hence to construct control charts that could be used to study the production processes of the product (Star). Statistical quality control technique used in this work is Cusum Scheme. It was carefully observed that the Cusum and the V-mask control chart of the four quality characteristics of Nigerian Breweries Star product are not operating in a state of process control. But for a more stable V-mask control chart, the points that fall outside the arms of the V-mask were discarded and the revised V-mask constructed. Since it was concluded that the company operates in an unstable quality standard for the Star product. Then for a more improved quality, the company should consider operating a quality control chart for the star product and some others.
