Minimizing The Cost Of Hiring And Training Of Stew Addresses In The Nigerian Airways Using The Simplex Method Of Optimization:- Nwabuisi Chinonye A

ABSTRACT

 This research work centers on the hiring and training of stewardesses problem encountered by the Nigerian airways for a period of six months, The problem was carefully studied and using the liner programming method of optimization a concise model was formed and solved. The result of the solution of the problem shows that it is better for them to hire trainee stewardesses than hiring regular stewardesses so as to minimize cost of hiring. Furthermore, to overcome the tedious and voluminous computation associated with the manual iterations, the mathlab computer linear programming package was use to get the result easily and faster. Finally, a sensitivity analysis was applied to the problem in other to confirm the result of the solution of the problem
