ABSTRACT
The fungi associated with rot of Dacryodes edullCanarium schweinfurthiLfruits(Bush pear) were Aspergillus n,er, Candida spp, Pen/c/ilium chpysog Fusarium spp1 and Mucor spp. vere the primary fungi gained entry usually through wounds and brui fruits. Mature pink fruits were less susceptible to i partially ripened blue-black fruits. Optimum ro' occurred at 25 - 30°C and the bacteria associated were also isolated, The results of the investigatio temperatures on the quality of inoculated healt Emphasis on this fruit in view of its role in ou endangered nature of its wild representatives. fruits(African pear) and isolated and identified 'num, Rh/zopusstolonifer,of causing fungi.
