ABSTRACT ix This study evaluated the physiological and microbiological quality of uatcr from Usurnanu and Quanta sircams in Abiriba. Ohafia local Govcminenl, Abia state. Nigeria. From this study a total of twenty two (22) bacterial and five (5) fungal strains were obtained and identified using morphological characteristics, pigmentation on media, microscopy, biochemical and sugar tennentation methods. This reveals the major bacterial isolates to belong to Stuphyhtcoccus aureus, Bacillus sp. Streptococcus sp. KIehsiclla sp, Escherichia coli.
