ABSTRACT

This is a review of existing debates and epistemological perspective of Africology using works of African female writers Keita and Adichie. Africology exposes historical texts and literature which include aspects of racial identity, gender, racism andAfrican history. It’s a blend ofAnglophone and francophone authors. This work highlights challenges of racial discrimination and identity ofAfricans in the diaspora using psycho analytic approach. In conclusion, there is a clarion call for Africans to be proud of their identity and work together in unity ofpurpose. Keywords: Africology, African literature, solidarity
