ABSTRACT vii The study is to investigate the relationship between the angle of inclination and voltage output of a solar panel, or photo-voltaic (PV) module, is an assembly of photo-voltaic cells mounted in a framework for installation. Solar panels uses sunlight as a source of energy to generate direct electricity. In carrying out the experiment the solar panel was connected to a voltmeter and was exposed to sunlight and the solar panel was inclined at these angles 10°, 20°, 40°, 60° and 80° and the experiment was he repeated for ten(10) times and the average calculated. A graph of voltage against the angle of inclination was afterwards plotted. It is important to conclude here by saying that there is indeed a direct relationship between the voltage output of a solar module and angle of inclination. From the results obtained it was obvious that at angle 40° gave the highest voltage output and when it was compared with the results of other researchers was observed that the best range of angle of inclination for optimal performance ofthe solar module is from 40°-45°
