ABSTRACT

This research is on the impact of industrial sector on economic growth in Nigeria. This study is spanned up from 1981-2017 and the main objectives are to examine the impact crude petroleum and natural gas on GDP, to evaluate the impact coal mining, metal ores, quarrying and other mining on economic growth of Nigerian economy. The secondary data used was obtained from CBN statistical Bulletin of 2018 edition. The study employed ordinary least square method of analysis, unit root test. Results revealed that crude petroleum and natural gas is positive and significant impact on the gross domestic production. While coal mining, metal ores and quarrying and other mining indicated positive but insignificant impact on gross domestic product of Nigeria.
