ABSTRACT

Twenty-four grower rabbits between the ages of 6 and 8 weeks old with mean live weight of about 700g. The twenty-four rabbits were divided into 3 groups, each group containing 8 rabbits. Each group was used in a in a 56-day feeding trial to evaluate the body weight of the rabbits fed on fermented sawdust. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design. Fed diet (control) contained the ration, diet 2 (untreated), diet 3 (treated) fermented sawdust incorporated at 20% inclusion levels. larameters of the study include initial body weight (I BWI') (g). final body weight (FBWT) (g). total body weight gain (TWTG) (g), daily weight gain (DWTG), (g), total feed intake (TEl) (g), daily Feed intake (DFI) (g) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) (g). Results show that there were no significant difference (P>0.05) among the parameters measured. Raw or fennented sawdust at 20% inclusion level can be utilized in the feeding of grower rabbits
