ABSTRACT

This work is focused on the empirical assessment of micro credit utilization among agro-entrepreneurs. A study of cassava production in Ahia State, this study delves into the application of micro-credit by agro-entrepreneurs in the enhancement of performance, profitability and also the market share position of the enterprise. The study employed the use of question in getting data from the respondents. The analysis of data was done with the use of descriptive statistics, paired Z - statistics and multiple regression analysis. The descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of socio-economic, while the paired Z statistic dealt with effectiveness of micro credit. Multiple regression model was used to estimate of determinants of micro credit utilization. In the result, age, education, experience, interest rate profit, distance disbursement lag were significant and thus influence the production, of cassava. They study therefore recommend that micro credit should be effectively and efficiently utilized to enhance aid increase cassava produce in Ahia State.
