Effects Of Feeding Rabbits On Brewers Spent Grain

ABSTRACT
Effects of feeding rabbits on Brewers spent grain or yeast was compared with rabbit fed with normal diet for 4 weeks. The rabbits was divided into three groups. Controls, experimental group fed with mixtures of brewers spent grain and normal feed which is called Test and the Test II is the group fed with brewers spent grain only. The rabbit were sacrifice after over night fast, followings was determined, DNase activity in the blood serum, total Bilirubin and conjugated Bilirubin, Uric acid concentration and Glutathione (Antioxidant). The results showed high activity of DNase of group I above that of control while group II had lower activity of this enzyme than the control depletion in blood glutathione in both groups! and Il were also observed compared to unit of control. The uric acid level followed the order of DNase activity in the animals.
