ABSTRACT xii This research study was designed to investigate the effect of constant consumption of coconut water on haematology biochemical and anaesthetic indices on wistar albino rat. Twenty five animals were randomly selected divided into five groups. Group A serve as control group while the rest group B, C, D, E and served as test group that received 10ml, 20ml, 30ml, 40ml of the coconut water extract for 28days. At the end of the experimental period, blood was obtained through ocular puncture and the concentration of Blood glucose, Haemoglobin (Hb) and packed cell volume (PCV) was analysed. Figure 4.1 of the result showed the mean comparison ofthe control group and the test group (C, D, and E) and received 20ml, 30ml, 40ml of the coconut water extract indicated that no significant difference (p>0.05) between the control and the test group, but there is a significant difference (p<0.05) between the control group and test group (Group B) that received 20ml of coconut water extract. Figure 4.2 the result showed the mean comparison of control group (Group A) and the test group (B, C, and D, E) that received 10ml, 20ml, 30ml, 40ml ofthe coconut water extract of PCV indicate that there is no significant (p.>0.05) between the control group and test group, figure 4.3 result showed mean comparison of the control group (Group A) and the test group (B, C, D, E) that received 10ml, 20ml, 30ml, 40ml of coconut water extract, there is no significant difference (p>0.05) between the control group and test group (group B, C, D, E) but there is a significant difference (p<0.05) between the control group and the test group (Group).
