ABSTRACT
Water is used for many developmental purposes and any loss of beneficial use of water due to pollution amounts to economic as well as ecological and human health damage. Since water is a major constituent of all living things, it should therefore be considered as the most important raw material of civilization (Nwagose and Ogelle, 1996).
