Effect Of Herbal Medicine (Goko Cleanser) On Lipid Profile Of Wistar Albino Rats.:- Iwueze Rosemary .U.

ABSTRACT ix This study was design to investigate the effect of Goko cleanser herbal medicine on lipid profile of wistar albino rat. This study was first investigated by determining the acute toxicity (LD50) on the animals, grouped by three according to their weight. Oral LD5o test result obtained from this study revealed that this herbal medicine is relatively safe on the animals based on the concentrations administered. To determine the effect ofthe herbal medicine, twenty (20) animals was grouped (A to D). Group A is the control while group B to C was administered different cone. (400mg/kg, 800mg/kg and 1200mg/kg) of Goko cleanser herbal medicine. The result obtained shows no effect on their lipid profile. This study suggested that Goko cleanser herbal medicine can be used for treatment that lead to lipid metabolism and synthesis.
