Effect Of Corporate Social Responsibility On Productivity Of A Service Based Organization (A Study Of Eco Bank Plc Umuahia)

ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to analyze the effect of corporate social responsibility on productivity of a service based organization with a particular reference to Eco Bank Plc Umuahia, Abia State. The objectives of the study were to determine the extent organizations carryout their social responsibilities, to ascertain if socially responsible organizations contribute to the social and economic growth of their surrounding environment and to ascertain the level of moral obligation present in organizations. A set of structured questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection and administered lo 85 respondenl and 83 was duly filled and collected randomly using Taro Yamane as a sampling technique. The data was then analyzed using SPSS version. The result Sequel to statistical evidences and respondents analysis, it was deduced clearly that greater number of respondents disagree that organization carryout their social responsibility with high degree. In conclusion, any organization that wanted to remain in business should try band be ethically and socially responsible in dealing with their various benefactors, customers, workers, and subordinate in the organization so as to make achieve their objectives. The study therefore recommends that the management should encourage the unions to deal with any worker found in unethical practices in the organizations
