ABSTRACT
The study was based on the empirical investigation of the effect of commercial banks' credit on small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria from 1990 to 2017. The data set sourced from Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletin was analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Following the results of the analysis, it was found that commercial banks credit to SMEs and interest rate had a significant effect on SMEs output in Nigeria. Based on the findings, it was recommended among other things that adequate attention should be given to SME's through channeling of more financial resources to the sector.
