ABSTRACT

The study of this research is how Demography and the population statistics can be used as tools towards the development of Nigeria economy which will also help to locate and identify scarce resources by states, age and sex distribution in the country. The study shows the projected population I distribution of secondary schools population in A wka by sex with its ¢ analysis. The data used was collected from the department of statistics in the state education commission headquarters Awka from 2000/2001 to ' 2010/201 I academic session. Information from this work will help the · government to identify the needs of its citizen and growth of the economy.
