ABSTRACT ix Trade credit is an essential element of business life for most firms in the world, so important that it even has macroeconomic repercussions. Trade credit represents a substantial component of firms’ liabilities and assets as well as a reliable source offunds for most firms in developed countries. This work was motivated by increase in trade credit risk, excessive . granting of credit, the adequate trade management and control that leads to bad debt and low profit. The system was achieved by developing a platform for an automated trade credit card transaction, create a database that tracks the information and transaction of the credit card, design a login form, design a platform that is used for bank settings, design a platform that is used to enter transactions, create a platform that display transaction history, create a platform that display transaction blocked history. This research was realized through the adoption of primary and secondary sources of data collection which includes observation and questionnaire. The proposed system was implemented by the researcher using HTML, PHP, JavaScript and MySQL for the database.
