Computerized Students Transcript Information System For Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike:- Ugwu Kingsley O

ABSTRACT xi Transcript can simply be seen as a copy of student’s academic record in higher institution of learning. It is a student information management system for processing and managing students’ academic data. I was motivated to embark on this research because some students’ academic records in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) have been wrongly manipulated due to unnecessary delay and some students have lost their lives to accident while travelling to collect their transcript. The system was achieved by reviewing the student transcript generation in Nigeria universities, examine the model architecture of transcript, discuss the benefits of computerized university transcript information system, discuss the challenges in implementing computerized transcript systems, discuss the need for computerized transcript systems, review the functionalities of computerized university transcript information system, discuss the future prospects of computerized transcript information systems. This research was realized through the adoption of interview, observation and the internet as the sources of data collection. The results showed that the system addresses the challenges faced by the stress and bottleneck when processing transcript.
