Car Hiring Management Information System:- Emmanuel Chukwuemeka P

ABSTRACT v Hiring also known as renting or letting, is an agreement where a payment is made for the temporary use of a goods, service or property owned by another. Car hiring agencies primarily serve people who have a car that is temporarily out ofreach or out ofservice. I was motivated to embark on this research because the manual system of running a car rental service process is slow, difficult to produce accurate monthly report or an annual report, it is hard to keep track on the record of rental cars, poor documentation of stock entries of hiring equipment, the manual system lacks automation, data manipulation, mismanagement of funds by poor business management, poor documentation of defaulting customers and expiration of hiring equipment. The system was achieved by developing a platform that would automate car hiring management Information system, build a database structure used to store data of client, develop a user friendly system that will enables client check for availability of vehicle and book or reserve a vehicle online, create a system that enables clients pay their car rent online, create a system that stores bookings and reservation information as well as payment history to help the organization keep track of transactions of hired car, create a simple and secure system that protects client’s information and confidential information of the organization. The application was realized through the adoption of waterfall model.- In this work, the results are obtained by designing a system using MYSQL management system and PHP programming languages
