ABSTRACT

This study focused on the appraisal of the impact and consequences of external debt management on the Nigeria economy.  Its  purpose is to investigate  the impact and consequences of  external  debt  in  Nigeria   economy  and  also factors that leads to external debt on Nigeria economy.

The  first   chapter  focused  on  introduction,   statement   of  the problem, objectives of the study, significance of the study etc. Chapter two  dealt with  the  review of related  literature,   Nigeria and debt  mechanisms, domestic public debt etc.  Chapter three dealt  with   research design,  population  of  the  study,  statistical instrument used, sample size, specification of the model etc. Chapter four  dealt  with  presentation,   analysis and interpretation of data and chapter five is about the summary, recommendation and conclusion of the study.
