ABSTRACT
This research work was conducted on the topic, application of time series analysis on Cargo throughput of NPA Calabar Port. The objective of the study is to examine the time series properties on number of Cargo Throughput berth into NPA Calabar from 2005 to 2021, and fitted the appropriate model. The ARIMA were employed both in original data and differencing data to ascertain the result. The result indicates that the data series are significant. We also found that the ARIMA (1,1,1) model is reliable forecasting model for forecasting the number of Cargo throughput in Calabar Port. This finding will helps to predict the near-future number of Cargo berth to Calabar port. The recommendation is that Nigerian Port Authorities should employ statistical tools and expert for effective planning and decision making. The reform should also made so as to give room to private sector to participate in the port activities.
