An Online Suspicious Discussion Monitoring System Using Data Mining:- Chinedum Chisom D

ABSTRACT vii This project aims on establishing a system that monitors discussion on these numerous platforms and flags vulgar, profane, crime related or suspicious discussions. This is to be achieved through the use of advanced data mining searching through phrases, clauses or certain keyword to find such content in these discussions. Flagged discussions would also be flagged and prevented during the usage of the system. The implementation of this system would improve the content of discussions on online platforms at large and serve as a check on these discussions .The world's interest have increase as people now a days are fond of using technologies at their fingerprints to carry out various functions. There is also, existence of various legal and illegal activities on the Internet? Everything could be used in both the right and wrong way. As we do have today, the existence of forums and discussion boards where people air their views and opinions on tangible matters, it has also created an opportunity for such platforms to be inappropriately used, as such channel has provided an effective channel for various profane discussions. Some which may range from, the dissemination of copyrighted material (movies or music), cyber bullying, using threatening messages to speak to individuals, spam and inappropriate adverts, dirty and vulgar languages as you may have, unlicensed or illegal gambling's, predictions or promotion of pyramid schemes. Object oriented analysis and design methodology is used to analyze the present system as while as design the proposed system. The technology to be implemented in the creation of these software are svelte- 3 for the front-end implementation, Ecmascript 8 for functionalities and implementation of data mining techniques such as association, key word scanning and clause search, jquery and ajax for interacting with rest apis, JSON as the data format in which all flagged clauses and keywords would be saved
