ABSTRACT

The study appraised the credit delivery strategies of deposit Money Banks to small scale industries in Nigeria. Generally the objective of this study is to investigate the impact of' deposit money banks credit delivery strategies on the growth of the small scale enterprises and the economy. Data were collected on aggregate commercial bank's (DMBS) loans to small scale enterprises, credits to all sectors of the economy and the % of the banks credits t small scale enterprises as a share of the total credits, from the secondary source, such as the CBN statistics bulletin, and annual report and statement of account (various years). Th simple regression method was applied to analyze the data. The study funds that credit delivery by deposit money banks to the small scale enterprises has no significant impact both on the growth of' the siitahl scale industries and  the economy in general. The study recommends that there should be a proper supervision of loans given small scale enterprises iii Nigeria by banks.
