Time Series Analysis Of The Sale Of Treasury Bills In Nigeria (1999-2003)
ABSTRACT
The aims and objectives of this study is to construct a mathematical model that could be used to predict reliable and dependable future values of treasury bill sale in Nigeria. Specifically, the study estimated and isolated the components of time series existing in the data The isolation was done using both the additive and multiplicative models. The data for the study was collected form the C'BN Annual Report and Statement of Accounts for the year ended SI December 2003 and cover the period 1 999-2003 on monthly basis. Time series analysis was applied to estimate and isolate the components of time series existing in the data. After the analysis both the additive and multiplicative models provided a good forecast.
