Time Series Analysis Of The Monthly Sales Volume Of Nigerian Bottling Company Product "Coke" (2003-2010)
ABSTRACT
The desire to carry out this research work was
motivated by the inherent seasonal variation in the sales of product of
bottling companies. The objective is to identify the model that suits the
series and forecast future sales. A secondary data was collected on monthly
sales of Coke from 2003 to 201Q from Nigerian Bottling Company. Box Jekins
method of time series analysis was applied using a statistical software
Minitab. ARIMA 211 was found to suit the data after chi square test of model
adequate has been used to confirm the model. A 24 months forecast was made and
it was observed that the sales of the product (Coke) is declining. The company
was advice to rebrand and advertise the product.
