The Role Of Protected Areas In Tourism Development
ABSTRACT
Protection of
environmental natural resources plays vital role in development of tourism. A
well conserved environment makes a sustainable tourism development. This
research work was carried out to know how protection of natural environmental
features can help in tourism development, and the problems of protected areas,
using Obudu cattle ranch as a case study. Questionnaires were designed based on
the research topic. The sampling size used was 100. This is made of junior,
middle and senior staff of Obudu cattle ranch. Random sampling techniques were
used, and oral interview conducted. Data were analyzed using frequencies and
simple percentages. The finding revealed that protected area has a great role
to play in the development of tourism
