The Impact Of Inventory Management Of The Profitability Of Small Scale Manufacturing Company ( A Case Study Of High Life Bakery Industry Aba)
ABSTRACT
Inventory play a major role in manufacturing companies. A
close observation has suggested that adequate management of inventory may lead
to increase in profits of manufacturing companie. Operaflnc managers and
management as a whole should find inventory management a fruitful area for
lowering overall operations cost and thereby inversing profitability of
operations. The method of data collection adopted by the research is the
questionnaires. The questionnaires were distributed on a random basis. The
analysis was by means of percentages and frequency distribution of respondenis.
The formula:ed hyjotheses were critically tested using the chi square (X2)
statistical tool. In the course of the research, it was found not that all
levels o management are concerned with management of inventory. That the
company has a need laid and inventory information system, which alsn well
integrated into the management information system.
