ABSTRACT
Complexes of Zinc and
copper have been synthesized using 4-amino2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-pyrazolin
S-one. The nature of the complexes and ligand were proposed based on infrared
spectroscopy, ultra violet spectroscopy, melting point, solubility and colour.
The ligand, 4-amino-2,3-dimethy-1-phenyl-3-pyrazoline-5-one coordinated to Zn
and Cu ions through the C=O and NH2.fu.nctional groups. The ligand behaved as a
bidentate ligand. Square planner geometry were proposed for the complexes.
