Special Disorders of Childhood: Enuresis, Encopresis and their Implications for Counselling Practice:- Uzoka, Ngozi R
ABSTRACT
This paper examines specific disorders found in children with
reference to Enuresis and Encopresis. The concept of nocturnal enuresis and
encopresis, with their etiological and treatment approaches were discussed. It
also highlighted on the causes ofthese diseases in children. It further
reviewed the effect ofparental neglect on children who suffer from these
disorders in their future development. The paper was finally rounded up with
the implications for counseling practice in Nigeria and recommendations.
