ABSTRACT
The approach to the production of single-cell protein (SCP) from \\aste(orange, plantain,
cassava. sovabean) and synthetic medium by saLc/1LIIo/1liee. CC/&fl/SIUL was studied under
aerobic conditions. The result obtained from synthetic medium showed better growth
parameters. The following parameters: specific gravity. ulucose. ethanol. biomass yield.
vohim tric weight, pft temperature and time were monitored under 8hours. The results
obtained showed progressive dccrease in glucose and increase in ethanol in during
fermentation. There was increase in biomass yield but later decrease, increase in volumetric
weights and crude protein of the SCP.
