Impact Of Bank's Assets Structure On Profitability Of Deposit Money Banks In Nigeria.
ABSTRACT
This work is an overview of impact of bank
asset structure on profitability of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The major
problem investigated is that banks have usability of profitability. In addition
secondary data were collected through the CBN bulletin in carrying out the
research. Multiple regression was used were used to analyze data in line with
the objectives of the study. Result of analysis shows that loan, finance lease
and investment has a positive impact in banks profitability. While interest rate
has a negative impact on the profitability. The researcher therefore recommend
that the banks should invest more on investment and reduce high rate of
interest to encourage the customers to take up more loans or the assets of the
banks to increase profitability.
