Impact Of Accounting Information On Business Profitability In Nigeria (A Study Of Pz Cussons Plc Aba, Abia State)
ABSTRACT
Accounting information is the life blood of
every organization and so. no business in Nigeria or any other country of the
world can survive without it. In this research work, the researcher carried a
comprehensive research on why it is necessary that accounting information
should be maintained in every business organization. The design for this study
is a survey design, the method of data collection involved is the use of a
well-structured questionnaire, the population of this study consists of 45
senior and management categories of staff of the PZ cussons Aba. A sample
random sampling technique was used in selecting 40senior and management
categories of staff from the population of 45 to form the sample size. Content
validity and surface validity was carried out by my supervisor and the
instrument was analyzed using percentage and Pearson product moment
correlation. The researcher discovered that accounting information has
significant impact on business profitability, accounting information also have
significant effect on management decision making and it also helps the
management to efficiently and effectively control its daily activities.
Consequently, the researcher recommended that for every business organization
to achieve its profit target, there is need for it to maintain a good and
quality accounting information system.
