ABSTRACT
The heart of marketing concept is that the wants and needs
of the consumers form the basis for all activities of the business finn. The
satisfaction of these wants and needs provide the rationale for the finns'
existences and the degree to which they are satisfIed, provide information as
to the efficiency of the way in which the finn is managed This study was
therefore carried out to in order to find the effect of marketing concept in
AIICO Aba branch operations. Data was obtained from both primary and secondary
sources and the collected data were presented and analyzed ivith tables,
frequencies and percentages. Pearson correlation coefficient test was used to
test the formulated research hypothesis. The following findings were made: that
there is a sign /I cant relationship between the identtied marketing concept
and firm performance; and that the marketing concepts have a significant effect
on the customers level of satistaction. It is recommended that the firm should
adopt the product and customer oriented marketing concept to enhance their
performance and customer satisfaction level.
