Effect Of Risk Assets Management On Corporate Performance Of Banks In Nigeria (A Study Of Diamond Bank)
ABSTRACT
The study investigated on the effect of risk asset management on corporate
performance of banks in Nigeria. The objective of the study is to determine the
effect of risk asset management on the profit after tax of banks in Nigeria; to
examine the effect of risk asset management on the return of equity of banks in
Nigeria. To achieve the objectives of the study, ex post factor research design was
adopted The researcher adopted secondary data in getting the required
information. In testing the hypothesis regression analysis was adopted The
researcher made use of information contained in the financial statement of
Diamond bank in achieving her objectives as well as testing the hypothesis. The
findings from the hypotheses tested revealed that risk assets management has
signfIcant effect on profit after tax of banks in Nigeria. The findings also revealed
that risk assets management has sign ficant effect on corporate performance of
banks in Nigeria. The researcher recommends that it is of crucial importance that
banks practice prudent risk management and safeguarding the assets of the banks
and protect the investor 's interest after benefitting from the tax incentives. Any
deviation from such should be liable to a standardized tax rate for each deviation
in the year of assessment.
