Effect Of Inventory Control On Profit Maximization In Selected Manufacturing Companies In Nigeria (A Study Of Nigeria Breweries Plc & Guinness Plc Nigeria)
ABSTRACT
The main objective of this research is to determine the
effect of inventory control on profit maximization in two selected
manufacturing company in Nigeria. The research reviewed other related topics
and adopted survey research design. Data were collected from annual reports of
the two selected manufacturing companies and was analyzed using correlation
coefficient. The results revealed that inventory control has effect in PAT and
sales of manufacturing companies and that increase or decrease in inventory
leads to increase or decrease in PAT and sales. The research recommended that
manufacturing companies should install effective and more efficient inventory
control technique as inventories occupy 80% of its current assets and in order
to maximize profit for growth and development of the company.
