ABSTRACT

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of two protein levels on the performance of rabbit. The work was carried out in the Rabbit Unit of College of Animal Science and Health, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. A total of eight Dutch does were used for the study which lasted seven weeks. The does were divided into groups with four does per treatment ( Ti, T2) one buck of the same breed was used in serving all does. The treatment groups, Ti and T2, were feed concentrates containing 14.5% and 10% C.P respectively. Both groups were fed the same type of forages. The performance of the does fed with the different level of protein was the same. So, sine these two diets are of different cost, there is need to used the chapter one.
