Effect Of Capital Budget Techniques On Firms Value In Nigeria (A Study Of Selected Quoted Companies In Nigeria)
ABSRACT
This study examine the effect of capital budget techniques on/Irms value, the study
adopts ex-post facto research design and data was collected i/sing secondary
source, simple regression analysis was used to analyze the collected data. The
study/àund that there is a significant effect of net present value on profitability of
listed firms and there is no significant effect of payback period on profitability of
listed fIrm and also there is significant effect of accounting rate of return of
pro fitahilifv of listed firms. Therefore the researcher recommends that, the listed
firms should maintain a high value on their investment as this will give room for
them to have finds in hand and the needed capital base to make the right
investment that will lead to growth of the firms and more returns on investment,
firms should also endeavor to the right plan in place for their pay back period on
capital invested on time and maintain a good cash flow ratio to enable them
facilitate easi' and recidily purchases and other business transactions to boost their
business performance
