Design And Implementation Of Electronic Revenue Collection System (A Case Study Of Dan Dollars Motors Nigeria) :- Oguibe Mercy I
Abstract
Now the presence of internet in the world has
fast changed the way and manner of carrying out revenue collection system. Adequate
use of the electronic revenue collection system has proven a lot of increase,
accuracy^efficiency and effectiveness in revenue collection system. It is not
only improving the daily operation of the organization but also the quality of
decision that affect our lives. These days, it is difficult for one to see any
industry or business establishment that has not been affected by an internet
based information system and computer application. The trend ofinternet is
being introduced into the revenue collection systems. Infact this made the
researcher to work on the possibility of implementing this internet development
in Dan Dollars transport cooperation (Nigeria Ltd). Having found out that this
new system will reduce or eliminate tiresomeness and stress. Having seen the
nature ofthe old or manual system, it was discovered that really, an internet
or online based system will gradually solve problems that are been encountered
with manual system of revenue collection experienced in the system. Personal
interview and observation methods were employed in gathering useful data, which
in turn were used in designing the various forms and development of the
implementing program. The implementing programs were coded in VB version 6.0 .
