ABSTRACT

Crime can broadly be defined as criminal activity involving an information technology infrastructure: including illegal access or unauthorized access. illegal interception that involves technical means of non-public transmissions of data to and from or within a system; data interference that include unauthorized damaging, deletion, deterioration, alteration or suppression of data; systems interference that is interfering with the functioning of a system by inputting, transmitting, damaging, deleting, deteriorating, altering or suppressing data; misuse of devices, forgery or identity theft and electronic fraud. Company crimes encompass a broad range of potentially illegal activities. Crime tracking system allows police personnel to plan effectively for emergency response, determine mitigation priorities, analyse historical events, and predict future events. I was motivated to embark on this research because people are arrested and charged with capital offences in order to ensure their continued detention while there is little or no evidence of their involvement. The system was achieved by developing a platform that would automate real time company crime tracking information system, build a database structure used to store data, create a module that add users and employee to the system, design a platform that track criminals, design a platform that report crime issues and expose people to the world of crime, design a platform that view all employee and all crime issues. The application was realized through the adoption of Agile methodology. In this research, the results are obtained by adopting the use of PHP, Java script as back end, Html as front end and SQL as the database
