through the years as movement and progress are made in the pattern of its
producUon. Re,ative Mthe a enstan ar of vanous production firms, the researcher
amidst all natives focuses on the production of Carex soap of PZ Cusson pic,
Aba. Hence data on the production processes such as the length, moisture
content, alkalinity content and the weight of the soap were collected and as
well as analyzed using the method of quality control so as to determine whether
variation in production are due to chance or assignable causes. This research
work applied the X-bar and R-bar charts respectively so as to accomplish its
objectives. At first a test was carried out and it was determined that the data
collected followed normal distribution and hence with the aid of X-bar chart it
was observed that there were no changes in the alkalinity content, moisture
content and length of Carex soap where as the weight of Carex soap was observed
to be out of control, on the other hand, The R-chart revealed that there were
changes in the process variability of weight of Carex soap meanwhile the
moisture content, alkalinity content and length of Carex soap were under
control, hence greater effort should be made to examine the weight
of Carex soap during production run
