ABSTRACT

 The primary objective or this work was to provide vital information through the Conructions of control chart which will help in checking and controlling the pnductio11 process of ample color limited in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The data us :d for this work was collected as a secondary data from the quality control unit of the company. The data assumptions of quality control unit of the company. The ciata assumptions of quality control analysis like the normality assumptions, chi- ~q-..are goodness of fit was conducted and none of the three quality characteristics i.c (PI I value, total dissolved sol ids and totai hardness followed the normal d1..tribution. This is.the robust MAD- chart was used for measuring process variability while the Mean- chart was used for measuring process average. From ~h•· investigation it was observed that all the quality characteristics produced \.Vcrc under statistics quality control both in process variability and process average c.-:..:cpt for I.he total dissolved solids which was not under statistical control in process variability and process average except for the total dissolved solids which ws not under statistical control in process variability. Nevertheless. revised control chart for MD- chart for the total dissolved solids was reconstructed and this indicates more stable process variability. I lcncc, the industry can use the revised chart control limits which indicated more stable process variability and average for the quality characteristics.
