population for the study consist of 667 iJarh^ a descriptive Okigwe Education
zone in Imo State The samnla for tha ct teachers and 72 principals in X»9 Of
300 teachers and 30 researcher sfructured questionnaire tagged. Resource
Provision and Academic Performance Questionnaire (RPAPQ). Face and content
validity of the instrument was determined by two experts in the Departments of
Educational Management and one expert in Department of Measurement and
Evaluation. Internal consistency of the instrument was established using
Cronbach alpha and it yielded an index of 0.73. The method for data analysis
include the use of mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions
and t-test statistic to test the hypotheses. The results of the study revealed
that the numbers of teachers in respect of students’ population is inadequate,
also the qualification almost teacher in terms of training and retraining and
academic development were glossily inadequate also the class size seems large
in construct to set standard. It was recommended that teachers quantity and
quality should be treated with almost concern and sincerely it students’
academic performance must improve also appointment of teachers should not be
based on familiarity godfather sing finally class size should be monitor by
stakeholder for strict adherence to set standards.
