Multivariate Analysis Of Students’ Performance In Chm 123 In Variation With The Students’ Faculty In A Given Session (J Case Study Of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture Umudike):- Eke Eke
ABSTRACT
The main objective of this work is to examine the
factors that affect students' performance in any given course. A case study of
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. The course CHM 123 was
selected and was examined over five sessions considering three departments. In
this work, a college (CCSS) was selected and three departments that offer CHM 123
in (CCSS) were all selected. The total number of students in each of the
departments over the five academic sessions formed a total sample size of 778.
A two-way MANOVA technique was employed in the analysis. The tests were carried
out using SPSS. At the end of the work, it was observed that there exist a
significant interaction between session and students' faculty. Also the two
independent variables were seen to have a significant effect on the performance
of the students. It was recommended that school administrations should plan
each session or semester in order to enhance students' performance. Also,
students are advised to use their time wisely in order to achieve academics
success in every session despite every other activity in the learning environs.
