ABSTRACT

 The study investigate the impact of minimum wage on industrial sector output in Nigeria covering the period of 1981 to 2018. The objectives of the study were to evaluate the impact of mini11111111 ,rage on industrial output in Nigeria and Jo ascertain the causal relationship between minimum wage and industrial output in Nigeria. Ordinary Least Square regression technique und granger causality test was adopted in the study. from the result on the I-test the study revealed that industrial minimum wage has a positive and significant impact on industrial output in Nigeria, investment has a positive and significant impact on industrial output in Nigeria. money supply has a positive and significant impact on industrial output in Nigeria and there exisr a causal relationship between minimum wage and industrial output in Nigeriu. Based on the findings the srudy recommended that: there is need to increase minimum wage despite the significant impact, the government should increase minimum wage in Nigeria this will go a long to increase efficiency of labor, thus increase industrial output in the Nigerian economy. More inre.,1111en1 should also be encourage in the industrial sector by reducing interest rate and increasing loans lo individuals in the economy. There should be more money in cm:u/ation so as to increase industrial productive in the economy
