ABSTRACT

This study evaluated the effect of mobile banking on savings mobilization in Nigeria. The design

for this study was descriptive and explanatoiy aimed at establishing the relationship between

Mobile banking services as a savings mobilization strategy and behavioral intention of customers

to save. The primaiy data were collected for the study through structured questionnaire. The study

further indicates that there is satisfaction customers get when they use mobile banking services.

Results from the survey shows that mobile banking services offered by the bank was trust worthy;

it also shows that there is satisfaction customers get when they use mobile banking and other

efJcts of mobile banking on savings mobilization. Based on the findings of the research work.

some relevant recommendations were made; they include: The banks should try as much as

possible to sensitize her customers concerning the benefits of mobile banking, making theni

understand how life could be made easy for them. The Central Bank of Nigeria ('c'BN) should tiy

eveiy possible way to provide incentives for mobile banking users through their banks so as to

enable them see more reasons to adopt the new development in the banking world. The

government should also provide and maintain adequate interest policies that would promote the
