ABSTRACT

The aimthis work is to establish the age at which optimum egg production will be achieved using regression analysis. The essence being to meet with the protein need of our body. The data for this work was a secondary data and it was collected from the poultry section of this University. it was recorded on weekly basis for 39 weeks. A mathematical models of the linear regression and that of the quadratic were fitted and tested. A linear egres&on model is of the form yi = bo + bi xi + ei while that of the quadratic is: yi = bo + b1 xi + b2x, + ei. The linear moOl was fitted, tested and was found to be insignificant while that of the quadratic was found to be significant.
