performance of manufacturing firms; To determine the relationship between
performance ofmanufacturingfirms in Nigeria and inventory valuation method,

methodology used, the research designed employed was a survey research design
Data were sourced from primary sources through the adoption of questionnaires
and annual reports of manufacturing industries in Umuahia Nigerian Analyses
ofdata and testing ofhypotheses were done through the aid of statistical tools
such as tables and regression model. In chapter four the researcher analyze the

Factors identified by respondent has significant influence on the inventoiy
valuation method used by manufacturingfirms; There is significant relationship
between performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria and inventory valuation
method; . The researcher concluded that inventory control technique becomes
relevant for performance and efficiency in manufacturing industries in Nigeria.
