Seasonal variations ii feed q uantity and quality cause fluctuations in animals nutrition and productivity throughout e year (Anderson, 1985) . Livestock depends on forage for survival , they also dpend on natural browse, crop residues and agricultural by products especially during c rough vhen green forage growth become limited. Since most farmers rear more anini ils ni Jer semi intensive system resulting in new feed and feeding activities being introdi cod s h as cultivation of pastwe and fodder crops on the farm or prQvide lots which may i olude leguininous browse, shrubs and Cenimserna fodder conservation as well is pur hase of other feed resources
